I really appreciated the hotel's historic vibe and the staff's friendliness, but dealing with a some noisy party vibes outside my room kinda messed things up. The location was super convenient for grabbing food, though the small rooms did catch me off guard. Overall, there were some good points but also a few bummers that made this stay a mixed bag.
Rooms
5.0
I felt the rooms were way smaller than I expected, and while they were cute and clean, I struggled a bit with the bathroom layout. The sink being next to the bed felt strange, and it got super hot in there due to the afternoon sun.
Service
6.0
The staff was friendly, especially Lucy, who helped with any questions I had. But there were moments when I felt they seemed a bit unavailable, which was frustrating.
Location
8.0
I loved the location—lots of restaurants nearby and it was a walk-friendly area. Keys on Main was just a quick stroll away, which was awesome for some nightlife.
Dining
6.0
I was hoping for a bit more excitement in the dining options, but the adjacent restaurant was nice—even if the prices were on the high end. Still, the convenience made it worth it.
Facilities
5.0
I definitely missed having a pool or gym, though the decor was on point. The lack of inclusion for some basic amenities, like breakfast, was a downside, especially considering the parking fee on top of everything else.

7.2/10
I'd originally chosen The Peery Salt Lake City Downtown because of its historic charm, but my stay left a lot to be desired. While the vintage decor adds a unique character, I found the room to be cramped and not very comfortable. Despite the friendly staff and convenient downtown location, the issues with the room size and noise levels made it an average experience overall.
Rooms
6.0
The room was exceedingly small, leaving barely any space for luggage. The bathroom was particularly cramped, making it inconvenient for my personal items. The air conditioning was also quite loud, affecting the overall comfort of my stay.
Service
6.0
The front desk staff was friendly, but the level of service seemed inconsistent. At times, it took too long for staff to assist, especially when only one employee was on duty. This led to some frustrating waits.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is a definite plus, with easy access to downtown attractions and restaurants. I found it convenient for getting around and exploring the area.
Dining
5.0
The hotel does not offer dining options on-site, which was disappointing. However, being in downtown, I had access to several nearby restaurants.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were basic, lacking some modern amenities. There was no refrigerator in the room, making it hard to store snacks or drinks, which added to the inconvenience.

I enjoyed some aspects of my stay at The Peery Salt Lake City Downtown, especially the hotel's charming historic features and cleanliness. However, I encountered several issues that detracted from the experience, like a noisy heater and some design flaws in the room. The overall ambiance was appealing, but attention to certain details is needed.
Rooms
6.0
The room was clean and had a historic charm, with creaky floors and unique decorations. but it felt small, and there were some practicality concerns like no towel hooks and issues with the shower door alignment. My bathroom was nice but could have been better designed.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly and responsive to my requests, although the heater situation was not resolved effectively. I received additional blankets, but the small space heater brought was loud and insufficient.
Location
7.0
The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of great restaurants and attractions. although the neighborhood seemed a bit concerning due to some unsavory elements nearby.
Dining
7.0
I appreciated the dining options available within the hotel and the nearby restaurants, but it would have been nice if breakfast had been included or offered. The atmosphere in the bar was inviting.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel has decent amenities, but I missed having refrigerators, microwaves, and a breakfast option. The parking fee of $25 felt excessive considering the environment and lack of security in the area.

My stay at The Peery was a mix of charming ambiance but had its drawbacks. The historic vibe and clean rooms were good, yet I struggled with the parking situation, which was inconvenient. My room was nicely decorated, but it felt a bit cramped. Overall, it had character, but I wouldn't say it was the best experience I've had.
Rooms
6.0
The decor in my room was pretty, and while it felt cozy, the space was small and a bit cramped. I appreciated the cleanliness, but the heating was a significant issue as the room stayed quite chilly during my stay.
Service
7.0
The staff were attentive and courteous, attempting to be helpful when I raised issues. However, the response time could be improved, especially regarding heating problems.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was a major plus, with easy access to downtown attractions. I enjoyed being close to various restaurants and shops, making it convenient for exploring the area.
Dining
6.0
While I enjoyed the adjacent restaurant's offerings, I felt the breakfast selection was lacking. Overall, the dining experience could use some variety.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel's historic features added to its charm, but some facilities like parking were complicated. I encountered issues like no in-room refrigerator and a heavy reliance on paid parking.

My stay at The Peery was a mixed bag. While I loved the hotel's historic charm and friendly front desk staff, the room left a lot to be desired. The lack of air conditioning and the cramped bathroom really took away from the experience, making it hard to relax.
Rooms
6.0
The room was quite small, and I found the lack of air conditioning a major issue, especially when the noise from the street kept me up at night. The bathroom was one of the tiniest I've ever seen, which felt quirky but not in a good way.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly, particularly Kade at the front desk, who made check-in smooth. However, communication about promotions and billing issues was a bit confusing, which wasn't ideal after a long day.
Location
9.0
The location is a major plus; it's really close to downtown attractions and dining options. I had no trouble finding great places to eat and enjoy the nightlife.
Dining
6.0
I didn't try the dining options extensively, but the attached restaurant had a decent menu. The dining credit was a nice touch, but it felt a bit complicated to use without clear info from the staff.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had a good vintage vibe, but some basic facilities were missing. Parking was a hassle, and I had to deal with unexpected charges to my card, which left a sour taste.
